Anta Sports Products Ltd is a Chinese sportswear multinational corporation engaged in the design, development, manufacturing, and marketing of branded sportswear.
Anta was founded in 1991 and was listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in 2007. With a market cap value of $30.14 Billion, Anta is ranked fourth in the worldwide sportswear industry after Nike, Lululemon, and Adidas.
Anta Sports aims to achieve leading positions both in the mass and the high-end sportswear markets, hence the decision of pursuing a multi-brand strategy.
The corporation owns brands such as Anta, FILA, DESCENTE, and KOLON, and acquired the Finland sports brand group Amer Sports Corporation in 2019 with internationally renowned brands such as Salomon, Arc’teryx, Peak Performance, etc.
In August 2021, the State Council announced a new five-year mass fitness program, allowing citizens to enjoy full coverage of fitness facilities in cities, county towns, villages, and communities within a 15-minute walk by 2025.
